Knayton Primary School is a charming rural school based in Knayton Village within the North Yorkshire region. They have a strong belief in creating a caring, stimulating and supportive environment allowing their pupils to reach their full potential.
In line with their beliefs the school requested a 55” touchscreen for one of their classrooms, as well as a staging solution for their hall to allow their pupils to successfully perform their scheduled nativity play.
Knayton Primary School already had a preferred brand of touchscreen (CTouch), due to their previous experience of using the reliable screens. Our solutions team recommended the CTouch LaserAir 55” as it comes with built in Android which is becoming more relevant to the modern day classroom with the growth of the downloadable applications for education. Further to this, our solutions team specified a cost effective staging solution comprising of audio, lighting, a wireless microphone and a control unit for their main hall.
Knayton were happy with the recommended solution and asked for the installs to take place before their nativity play. Given this, our projects team scheduled for our engineers to complete the job before the performance and at times appropriate to the school.
To complete the touchscreen installation our engineers installed a heavy duty wall mount, AV cable kit and connector panel complete with HDMI, VGA and USB cables. To install the staging solution our engineers erected scaffolding in the hall to allow them to fix the lighting rig appropriately and complete the cable run. They took power from the fuse spur and installed an audio cabinet for the new amplifier and a DMX control mixer for the lighting control. The microphone system we supplied included a wireless headset, as well as six neckband wireless mics suitable for children.
As promised, the staging solution was ready for the pupils to deliver their nativity play.
School Business Manager at Knayton Primary School – “Castle Grange Technologies have worked with us on various projects, installing touchscreens, an audio system and stage lighting. They have always provided us with a full service; helping to identify an audio visual solution suited to our requirements and providing very reasonable quotations. Further to this their engineers always deliver a first class installation service, I would highly recommend them to other schools in North Yorkshire.”
Steve Graham, Business Development Manager at Castle Grange Technologies – “We have worked with Knayton Primary School on a few occasions now and it is always a pleasure. It’s nice to feel that the technology we supply to Knayton is supporting their beliefs of creating a stimulating environment for their pupils.
